Dumb taskbar question

Hi,

I am running XP Tablet and I would like to set the taskbar to behave
as it does on a *default* win2000 installation, i.e.

When no app is running, it is visible.

When any app is running, it disappears.

Any running apps are shown on the taskbar as little rectangles, each
containing the app's name.

I've tried various taskbar options but none of them seems to do this.
Has XP done away with this functionality?

Re: Dumb taskbar question

The options are to Auto Hide or have the Taskbar visible at all times,
Peter. I don't actually recall the behavior you're describing as related to
a Windows 2000 install, or any other Windows version. 8-) You would need
to Unlock the Taskbar off the right-click menu first, then set the Auto Hide
option in the Properties section.
