Does Access 2003 run on XP Tablet PC 2005 operating system? All of the
packages are for Office 2003 Small Business addition.

Yes, absolutely, Rick. In fact, Office 2003 is better equipped for Ink than
any previous version. After you install the applications you use from the
"family" make sure to download all the updates for Office and pick up the
Tablet PC Update for Improved Ink Recognition. It adds some of the missed
context tagging for better operation of the Tablet Input Panel. It is

Use of Ink in Access... requires some work. Not as Integrated as some of the
other members of the Office suite.

The question was whether or not it would run on Windows XP Pro (the Tablet
operating system) and Tablet PC Edition. Yes, it will. And the Ink is
improved over previous versions of Office, especially with the update I
mentioned to download.

Was not disputing the ability of Access to work on the Tablet......just that
the 'out of the box' experience in relation to Ink with Access was not as
good as other parts of the Office suite. (Maybe the ink well ran dry while
they were writing it?)

You're correct, and it is a bit disappointing how the Ink support varies
from one of the Office "family" members to another. Toss in OneNote, which
is great on a Tablet PC but is more like a stepchild in the family because
it doesn't (at present) have other features most of the family apps have.
