Unattended Install of XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 Recognizer Pack

What command lines are required to install the recognizer pack without any
user interaction? Progress display is fine, but we don't want the setup to
wait for user response.

RE: Unattended Install of XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 Recognizer Pack

Here's how...

Take the file you download for the XP TabletPC Edition 2005 Recognizer Pack
(I believe the file is called TRPSetup.exe at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...n&Hash=WDCPF34) and do the following:

1) Run TRPSetup.exe /t:<some temp directory on your machine> /c
That will extract all of the CAB files and setup.exe
2) Set your working directory to that temp directory you created in step 1
3) Run setup.exe /q
That will silently (quiet mode) install the recognizer pack

The only indication that anything is going on is that the hard drive light
is showing activity.

Regards

RE: Unattended Install of XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 Recognizer Pac

The steps you describe result in a Windows Installer message spelling out the
msiexec parameters.
