Win XP Tablet IE Version?

We are looking to invest in some Tablets for WebApps for people walking
around, the problem is that it has to be the full Desktop version of IE. Is
that the version that comes with Windows XP Tablet Edition? Or is it a
rundown/lite version?

Thanks

Re: Win XP Tablet IE Version?

The "Windows XP Tablet Edition" is really Windows XP Pro running the Tablet
PC Edition superset on top. You have all the normal qualities of XP Pro,
plus the Tablet functionality.

Re: Win XP Tablet IE Version?

Nothing "Light" about WinXP TPCedition... Except for the weight of the
tablet.
Think of the tablet as a laptop without a keyboard but with a digitizer
behind the screen, running XP Pro with some extra features just for tablets.

RE: Win XP Tablet IE Version?

As the guys have said below TPE is really XP Pro + extra functionality. It
comes with full IE6, but if i was you i would show your customers that it
also has MSN explorer!

Cheers

Re: Win XP Tablet IE Version?

The question was about IE, Quintin, and whether it was different on a Tablet
PC, and that's how I answered. See the Subject: line.

Re: Win XP Tablet IE Version?

Yeah, I suggest he even shows MSN Messenger, with the ink to text ability!
Keep in Touch!

Re: Win XP Tablet IE Version?

Windows Messenger had Ink before the MSN version, James. It is Windows
Messenger which comes standard on Windows XP installations, not the MSN
version.
