New tablets

Can anyone tell me what generation we are in?
I heard they are 3rd generation tablets, but I am not sure.
Thanks.

Re: New tablets

I don't honestly know, I'm not sure what defines "third." I'd define the
industry as still evolving, since there are new Tablet PC variations in new
configurations continuing to come on the market all the time.

....I am not entirely sure, but I believe that we are between Generation 2 and
Generation 3 (upcoming in the latter half of this year)...

Thanks for posting that. It is the first reasonably clear explanation
of how pen editing works that I have found anywhere, including
anywhere on microsoft.com.

I can't help being amused by the "true superset of the wider notebook
market," though.

My email address is llm040903 at earthlink dot net.

Since you use your real email address in the From field of your posts
(which btw can be read by bots and viruses) there's really not much
point placing a munged email address in the body of your posts as well.

Scientists were excited this week at having isolated a brief sound which
occurred immediately before the Big Bang.
Apparently, the sound was, "uh oh".

Thank you for pointing that out. I switched e-mail readers a few
months ago, and neglected to change the new reader's default. I have
now done so.

My email address is llm040903 at earthlink dot net.
