Hi, I am new to the Tablet PC forum. I own a Toshiba Protege Tablet PC. I
have horrible battery life, <30 min on full charge when running Office. Does
anyone know of alternative, long-lasting batteries available for Toshiba
model Tablet PCs? Ideally, I would like to carry my Tablet around for a few
hours, copying things down in a school environment.

What model Portege? How old is the battery? My M200 lasts 3-4 hours...

Toshiba batteries are infamous. Most are fine, and have the life you'd
expect. But about one in 10-15, based on my experience supporting them as an
IT director, just doesn't have any life at all. When you get one like that,
keep it as an emergency spare, and buy another. Brand isn't all that
important, look for total amp/hours. I think I used to get mine from
1-800-batteries, now known as www.igo.com -- they weren't the cheapest, but
they had a _complete_ selection for every device I had to support.

Your battery is probably around 1.5 years old or more.
First they last for 3H and dropping.
Buy new one.

yeah i have an m200, the battery is 3 hours, just return it to Toshiba and
get it fixed
