Screen capture on XP Tablet - how?

The usual windoze way is PrintSc and then paste into e.g. Photoshop.

Or one can get various apps that will do it on a hotkey combination -
but this machine doesn't have a whole lot of buttons!

I don't really want the XP popup keyboard to be in the image.

Then there are program that will run off the Start menu but then the
start menu is in the image...

When you say that your machine doesn't have a lot of buttons, what
machine is it?
Most tablets have a number of buttons you could temporarily assign to
the job.

Or you could use the microsoft snipping tool if you don't want the whole
screen.

What Tablet PC do you have, and have you tried temporarily assigning the
action to a button? How about looking into something like SnagIt from
http://www.techsmith.com/ . It is a really easy - and very powerful -
utility.

three buttons which can somehow be programmed.

Re: Screen capture on XP Tablet - how?

The buttons are usually set in Control Panel/Tablet and Pen Settings/Tablet
Buttons tab. By selecting the Change button with one of the functions
highlighted, you can create equivalents to keyboard strokes.

jkendrick is on a distinguished road
You can download and install the MS Snipping Tool (free) which lets you capture regions on the screen.
