| AIM not running The first time I run AIM but subsequent times it didn't. It doesnt show up in the task manager although I am prompted to end AIM when I try restarting my computer. Someone help. I think it migth have something to do with a system 32 file ..whatver that means. Thanks |

| Re: AIM not running I got a clue from a previous post on this subject. It took me a few trys, but here's what worked for me. * Reboot - we don't want the AIM to be half running * click START - run Set Program Access and Defaults * to the right of the custom radio button, select the down arrows to open * scroll down to Default IM program * there are radio button to select the default (AIM, Trillion, Messenger, etc) - it doesn't seem to matter which one you select * to the right of the radio buttons are check boxes to enable access - make sure you put check marks on all the ones you want to use. * click OK at the bottom of the screen - windows will take a couple of minutes setting up defaults * RUN AIM - it should work for you now. |
