Using an additional network adaptor on TC1000

Hi ive got the Compaq TC1000 and it only has a 11mbps wireless card in it,
however when i add an additonal 54mbps pcmica card in it will not work i
installed the driver and stopped the exsisting adaptor and it keeps saying it
failed to start. The card works because ive tried it on my normal laptop and
it works fine!

Can any one help thanks very much

Darren

Re: Using an additional network adaptor on TC1000

Have you turned off the built-in device and then disabled it in Device
Manager?

Re: Using an additional network adaptor on TC1000

I would contact Compaq's support section and see what they say. Make sure
to tell them the type of card you're using. I believe the card slot on the
TC1100 is a Type II, so that may make some sort of difference.

Might also check the support section for the manufacturer of the card you're
using. They may have some ideas for you.
