Comparison of Motion Computing & Electrovaya outdoor screens?

Hi,

I'm considering buying either the M1400 or SC2200 and can't find any
technical information about the difference (if any) between the View
Anywhere (M1400) or "Outdoor Screen" (SC2200). Is one better than the
other?

I also read elsewhere that the Electrovaya battery has to run down
before it'll charge fully. Is that true? I thought that problem went
away years ago with these batteries.

Thanks.

Tim

Re: Comparison of Motion Computing & Electrovaya outdoor screens?

It would be helpful to have a more detailed comparison of these two leading
models, but few people have lived with both types enough to write a good
comparison. As a superficial observer one notes that the Electrovaya slate
has longer battery life, but there are reports that the battery capacity
goes down over time. Both have bright screens, yet the M1400 is said to
have particularly good outdoor viewing.

As a user of a M1300 there are some little features I find crucial such as
the pen fitting into the computer and a "directional control button" for
simulating a combination of Page Up/Down and a mouse roller button, but I
don't know the Electrovaya well enough to compare.

It would be nice to see a detailed review of the Motion Computing and
Electrovaya slates, adding others if they are in the same league.
