Getting rid of paper for school??

Hey, I have the M1400 and I love it. Using it for school. I do all my note
taking on the tablet but there is a huge flaw, I have a lab class and got
this paper packet for to write my notes on because it has the lab experiments
in it. I tried asking around to see if there is a digital version that I can
use but nothing. So I would like to know what i can do. I scanned one of the
experiments and they in jpeg form. Is there a program that I can use to
insert those pages of the lab and then digitally write on it like I do with
note taking? Because love using the tablet and so do NOT want to go back to
using a huge 3 ring binder and etc. I tried to insert them into OneNote but
they come up to small and I have to resize them and if the page is moved the
ink doesn't stay on. I tried adobe acrobate 7.0 Professional but it doesn't
seem to have tablet pc features yet to write and erase. Looking for a nice
program to use and easy to later email that file to my teacher and the
teacher being able to open the file without having to install a program to
view it. Someone please help me out!!

Thanks in advance!

You can print the image into either Agilix goBinder or Windows Journal
which will give you what you want.
I would say you were better scanning the paper version as gifs rather
than jpegs as with jpegs the output text may look a little muddy.

To recognize the text into a document you could use some OCR program,
after which you can edit the text directly, and also add ink notes (if
you are using Office 2003). FineReader or Abbyys ScanTo Office would be
student budget.

OTOH if you don't need to modify the text itself (e.g. if it's only lab
experiment forms you're to fill out) then you won't need OCR, and can do
what Woody and Mike already suggested.

If your teachers can't read Journal files on their PCs, you can print
the Journal pages to a PDF using for example the free CutePDF Writer
program, or any other ghostscript based tool.

The second option is to scan/print the pages into a PDF and annotate the
PDF with Grahl Softwares PDF Annotator. There's a 30day eval version,
and the licence fee is close to student budget.

cheers,
- Jan
