Space after period on TIP entry

I have a Motion 1400 and use Word 2003 with the XP service pack.
The default on the TIP is one space after a period. To explain further,
when I enter writing on the TIP and it is entered as text, the default is for
only one space after a period. How can I configure the software so that I
obtain two spaces automatically after a period.
Word is configured for this but the XP tablet software is not.
Appreciate your wisdom.
Thanks

Re: Space after period on TIP entry

There is no "configuration" of the spacing, it is part of the software
coding. I would suggest just manually adding a space with the Space button
on the Tablet Input Panel and then Insert the text. The spacing is an old
argument. I prefer two, however, there are others - including publishers -
who insist on one space. Here's a quick analysis:

Well, even though I can't make myself follow it, the modern standard is one
space. Two spaces is a hold-over from the typewriter's monospaced font.

Re: Space after period on TIP entry

Your best bet is probably just to put up with the single space thing, but
then when you are finished writing just do a search and replace to replace a
dot-space with a dot-space-space in your document.

As someone else mentioned though, that's kind of a hang over from the old
typewriter days. You can achieve similar readability just by selecting a
monospaced font like courier with a single dot-space.

Hope that helps
