| Re: Any one have experience with NEC Versa Litepad It is light. 8-) You might want to do a search through this newsgroup for previous posts about the NEC computer. Instead of using the web-base newsgroup interface, I'd suggest you use your news reader (like Outlook Express) and simply set up the msnews.microsoft.com news server which is free, no login, no password. When you set up OE (Help will guide you), you can subscribe to any Microsoft newsgroup you wish, do lots of searches easily, mark your own messages (even in color) and track threads, etc. -- Chris H. | Re: Any one have experience with NEC Versa Litepad doesn't seem to be too many users... maybe they'll post more experiences later on - I'll hate to make a mistake. I'm looking for a machine that'll allow me to take notes and info down, not major processing stuff.. | Re: Any one have experience with NEC Versa Litepad I had one for a few months and just replaced it. My issues were (1) poor viewing angle of the screen, (2) loud fan that comes on a lot, (3) short battery life, and (4) no docking solution. I've been using a Motion M1400 with view anywhere screen for about a week and love it. I do miss the NEC's Smaller size though! Given that it's nearly one pound less than any other tablet out there, and at its current price it's certainly worth considering. there's an entire forum dedicated to the NEC at www.tabletpcbuzz.com -- Edward Lee Microsoft MVP - Sharepoint Portal Server "StupidCranium" <StupidCranium@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:07FA27E2-C3E9-447D-B13B-D269890D68E3@microsoft.com... > Any good things to say? You might want to check out the NEC forum at tabletPCBuzz, where there is quite a bit about the NEC Versapad: http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=49 Seem to be a fair amount of users there -- Woody Played Yagol for tabletPC yet? http://www.alienrat.com/games |

| Re: Any one have experience with NEC Versa Litepad I've got one. I like it a lot. The battery life is about 2 hrs if you have your settings correct. The wireless adapter is a real weak point, I replaced mine with an intel wireless G card. | Re: Any one have experience with NEC Versa Litepad Can you please post details on how you replaced the wireless card? I am interested in doing the same, but am finding it difficult to dismantle the unit to find out where the card slot is..
