korean recognized?

I have Averatec c3500, and have updated to Tablet 2005
edition. I am wondering whether korean can be recognized
& converted from hand-writing with digitial ink in any
application such as OneNote or Word. Or anybody is
working on developing such an application? Of course mine
came with English version of XP tablet 2005, but I am
wondeing whether there is actually the one with Korean as
a default so hand-writing in Korea is recognized
electronically.
Thanks in advance

Re: korean recognized?

The Recognizer Pack 2005 should do that for you, Tom. See
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
for details and the download (over 80 MB).

Re: korean recognized?

Good luck with it, Tom. Oh, and if you're interested in add-on
dictionaries, you should take a look at Tablet PC MVP Fritz Switzer's web
site: http://www.abletfactory.com/ He has some really fine add-ons.

Re: korean recognized?

Tom,

We don't provide any language support for East Asian languages, except for
some limited PinYin lexicons. However, you'll find that after adding Korean
recognition support via the MUIRP, and configuring your Language Bar,
switching between English and Korean is very easy. Having tested with most
of the recognizers, Hangul is by far my favorite and provides the highest
level of recognition. It is so much easier than going through all the
keyboard gyrations for Korean.

Just follow Chris's and Mike's instructions to download the reco pak, it
will be worth the effort.

Anyang, hope this helps,

Fritz
