| TC 1100 problem with multiple screens I have my HP TC 1100 set up so I can use a second monitor when the tablet is in the docking station. I have a problem when I take it out of the docking station, change it to the Standby mode, and then return it to the docking station. It automatically switches back to a one terminal mode and the resolution is changed in the second monitor. This requires me to go into the control panel and set everything back up again to use two monitors. I can't believe it is designed this way, but have not found a way to set the default differently. Any ideas? |

| Re: TC 1100 problem with multiple screens I don't have your machine or setup, but does the same thing happen if you go into Standby while in the docking station, and then bring it out of Standby still in the docking station? Do you lose the settings? I believe, if you're removing it from the docking station, you're "disconnecting" the external monitor, so it is automatically adjusting to what you're doing. Perhaps HP support would have some information. -- Chris H. If you press the monitor button a few times (so it is on internal only) before taking it out of the dock you will find that it will remember all of its settings when you put it back in. Its a bit of a pain, but less than having to set the monitors up again! -- Woody Played Yagol for tabletPC yet? http://www.alienrat.com/games |
