| Input Panel I've recently upgraded to SP2 and the Tablet PC Input Panel no longer works. The icon is there on the taskbar but clicking it has no effect. The machine is a Toshiba Portege M200 running SP2 and Office 2003 with all updates applied. Anyone any ideas? From the other posts in this forum I've registered the two DLLs in the Ink directory successfully but these have had no effect. If I need to reinstall drivers, which drivers? All help gratefully received... |

| Re: Input Panel Chris I downloaded the "enhanced pen driver" from Wacom and installed it....no effect. I can run the Tablet & Pen Settings uitlity along with the Wacom Tablet Properties utility - but the Input Panel still won't launch. I have a horrible feeling I'm going to have to uninstall SP2... | Re: Input Panel Chris Thanks for the update. I've downloaded the latest driver from NVidia and installed it with no difference. Am I doing something really stupid? Is there some kind of "hide the Input Panel" setting that I'm missing? So that's the graphics and pen drivers updated...any others I should have a go at? | Re: Input Panel Dave, do you have .NET 1.1 installed? You can check that by going into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and look at the installed programs list. It should have a listing there for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. If it doesn't say exactly that, you should download and install it. | Re: Input Panel Chris, I've checked as you suggest and have .NET Framework 1.1 installed. If I watch Task Manager, when I click the Input Panel icon, a process for tabtip.exe starts - it's just that nothing shows up. | Re: Input Panel I know this may sound strange, but hang in there. 8-) You installed Wacom's latest drivers, correct? If so, try going into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the listing for Wacom Penabled Driver 4.82-9. The actual drivers will remain, but the Wacom entry on All Programs will be removed. Restart your system, and see if the Tablet Input Panel will then launch. -- Chris H. | Re: Input Panel Chris I uninstalled the Wacom driver as suggested - when I rebooted it asked for a wacomdispen.sys file....so I reinstalled the driver, copied the wacomdispen.sys file, uninstalled the driver and then copied the wacomdispen.sys file into windows/system32/dirvers when prompted for the file... All this, and the input panel still doesn't work. I wonder if any other drivers are getting in the way? Hopefully you're not out of ideas yet.... :) Dave "Chris H." wrote: > I know this may sound strange, but hang in there. 8-) You installed > Wacom's latest drivers, correct?
