| Wacom Intuos3 Does anybody use one of the Wacom Intuos3 or Graphire tablets as in input device with their TPC (Motion M1400 in particular)? Are there any known issues such as driver collisions? Cheers! -- howard |

| Re: Wacom Intuos3 Hi Chris, I have limited real estate here in the office. At the moment, I have my desktop which has two 18" LCD displays, keyboard, and mouse on the desk. I have the Motion docked next two the displays. I have a keyboard and mouse attached to the docking station. When the tablet is docked, I will usually use the mouse for input unless there is a specific need for a signature. Both keyboards and mice share the workspace and they're not always playing nicely either. It gets a little crowded on the desk top from time to time. I'm thinking about a KVM switch for the desktop and tablet to reduce the clutter since I'm generally using both machines at the same time. In addition, I'm considering using one of the Wacom digitizers for the input device on the desktop machine. If I'm going to use a KVM switch and I would like to use a digitizer for one machine, whatever I use for the desktop will need to live with the M1400. I know it sounds twisted but I'm really tired of having two keyboards and mice on the desk. -- howard "Chris H." <winxpnews********.com> wrote in message news:eupZ9E0%23EHA.3416@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > Why would you want to, Howard? | Re: Wacom Intuos3 You sound like a set-up similar to what I have, except you're up one LCD display on me, but minus one computer. 8-) I've got a KVM switch between two desktops, sharing a monitor, keyboard and mouse, plus I've got two Tablets. I don't have room for an external pad, but don't need one with the KVM. 8-) -- Chris H. | Re: Wacom Intuos3 Hi Chris, I have a notebook that is networked at another workstation here in the office and an old Mac sitting on another workstation too. The Mac doesn't count though. I'm going to be tossing it in the can whenever I find a suitable replacement. I'm only using it for testing nowadays. I'd like to see the new Mac that was announce this week. However, the notebook and Mac are not at my primary workstation. The hardest thing for me is when I'm working on my left display and want to do something on the tablet. I invariably run my mouse to the right and get confused when it doesn't show up on the tablet display. It's terribly frustrating sometimes. ;) I was thinking it would be nice to have a digitizer to use with the graphics apps on my desktop. And before spending $300+ for an input device, I thought I check to see if there were any known conflicts or other problems being experienced with tablets. -- howard "Chris H." <winxpnews********.com> wrote in message news:%234xj8d1%23EHA.612@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > You sound like a set-up similar to what I have, except you're up one LCD > display on me, but minus one computer. 8-) I've got a KVM switch between > two desktops, sharing a monitor, keyboard and mouse, plus I've got two > Tablets. | Re: Wacom Intuos3 It sounds like you're adding more hardware and another point to further confuse you, Howard. LOL! Wouldn't it be easier to get a KVM switch (even a two-port) and eliminate some of the redundancy? Now, don't laugh, but I was working on some stuff while on my Tablet PC in the living room - and watching an NBA basketball playoff game last year. Because I was flipping rapidly between items, cutting, pasting and trying to align things, I was using a Microsoft Notebook Mouse with my M200. The unfortunate thing was I apparently was too involved in the basketball game on the TV, and was being frustrated by one of the guards who couldn't seem to stick with his man defensively. So, what was I doing? I caught myself trying to assist the player's positioning by guiding him with my mouse! Like a video game. 8-) And you think you've got problems. 8-) -- Chris H. | Re: Wacom Intuos3 Gee Chris, I thought that was what we were chatting about... I have two keyboards and two mice here on the desk and am planning on getting the KVM to eliminate the redundancy as you pointed out. My thoughts were to use the Intuos3 with the 5 button mouse as a shared input device for the desktop and tablet. I'm not planning on working on the notebook or Mac from this work station. At least not at this time. Sorry about not being more clear in the description. But yeah, I think we're on the same page now. Did they win? ;) -- howard "Chris H." <winxpnews********.com> wrote in message news:O3jDgC$%23EHA.2552@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > It sounds like you're adding more hardware and another point to further > confuse you, Howard.
