| boot to dos on motion LE1600 My motion LE 1600 does not have a floppy or cdrom. It has a usb external HD and a built in SD reader (with no option in BIOS to boot from the sd card) I have an antiquated program that must run in ms-dos. It will not function while windows xp is running, due to windows hogging the com ports. I've set the BIOS to boot from my WD passport external usb HD, and I copied the dos boot disk files to the external usb HD. For some reason, it wont boot to dos, instead it reads: Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 For realtek gigabit ethernet controller PXE-E61: MEdia test failure, check cable PXE-M0F: exiting PXE ROM OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND Why will it not boot to dos from my usb HD? |

Did you copy the boot files over or did you run "sys" on the usb drive? |

Of course there are many other ways of doing this as well. But a simple copy without taking into account the given boot files attribs will not work. More info can be googled or found here: http://www.computerhope.com/syshlp.htm |
