M200 Battery Swap Question

I know this is area is for software issues/questions for Tablet PC - but I
was hoping some of you guys can shed some light on this. Why is it that I
can't swap the battery out of my Toshiba M200 while it's plugged into the
wall and turned on. I noticed it the other day when I was looking for the
backup stylis. When I put the battery back in and opened up the lide (while
plugged in and powered) it was shut down. WHats up with that? On my dell
Laptop - i used to be able swap batteries out all the time while it was on
and powered. This is a major bummer. I haven't tried it yet, but can I put
it in Standby mode to swap out the battery without having to shut everything
down and power it down?

Re: M200 Battery Swap Question

There are specific Toshiba instructions for changing the battery:

I'd suggest it as reading material to make sure you're doing it correctly.
