| ink annotation problems in outlook 2003 I cannot get the ink annotations to work in outlook 2003. I have tried reading the article stated below but that still does not help. I have the emails set to HTML and i am using outlook 2003 as my email editor. The ink comment work fine and the ink writing and drawing works good too. I just can't get the annotations to work. I can see the icon but it is grayed out. The annotations seem to work fine in word and excel just not in outlook. I previously have office xp pro installed but i removed it to install offce 2003. I had the XP Tablet Pack installed also but I removed that too. How do I fix this? Should I uninstall office 2003 and reinstall the XP tablet pack and reinstall office 2003? PLEASE HELP! Thanks Geoff This Knowledge Base article should help you: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=k...d=2530&sid=139 ; You need to use the Insert menu, then to Picture, and then tap Ink Drawing and Writing. | Re: ink annotation problems in outlook 2003 I would go into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs, then find the listing for Microsoft Office, then double-tap it. You will then have the Change button, and tap that. Select Add or Remove Features, then next. Put a check mark in Choose advanced customization of applications, then the Next button. Under Office Shared Features, expand the listings with the + button, then make sure Microsoft Handwriting Component is being installed, then tap the Update button. If that is already installed, back up in the selections and do a Repair install of Office. -- Chris H. | Re: ink annotation problems in outlook 2003 I don't know what else to tell you, Geoff. I haven't seen the problem here - ever. I'll have to think on it. Perhaps someone else will drop by with a hint. 8-) BTW - if you go into Control Panel/Regional and Language Settings/Languages tab/Details button, on the Settings tab, are you seeing four listings under Advanced Text Services? There should be Ink Correction, Tablet PC Correction, Tablet PC Correction for Windows Journal and Tablet PC Text Insertion. -- Chris H.
