TIP Doesn't work as it should

I've just used the MS Tutorial on how to use the TIP and found that it
is supposed to work differently to how mine does work when entering web
addresses in I.E.

When it first appears it contains the web shortcuts such as www. and
so on. But when I select one of those, say www, all the shortcut
buttons then disappear and I am left to insert .com manually. Why do
the shortcut buttons go away before I finish entering the web address
in full?

Ken

This is how mine has always acted. I select "www" for example, then I write
microsoft, insert it, and the buttons are back to do the .com extension or
whatever.

After you insert your handwritten text, do the buttons re-appear to allow you
to select them again?

John

I've sorted it out now, having played with it for a while. Thanks for
your response.
