| Re: Gateway M285-G I'm not sure if this is your exact model, but checking the Gateway support section for the M285-E G reveals: http://support.gateway.com/support/d...am=Vista&st=kw You might want to nose around under their driver downloads, using the keyword "Vista." You can also use Gateway's "download assistant" from the URL above to determine exactly your machine's needs. Otherwise, yes, you'll just have to wait until the manufacturer supports Vista fully, if they are going to do so. -- Chris H. | Re: Gateway M285-G Have you checked the Gateway web site for updates to the various drivers? Until the manufacturers update the drivers to those which are Vista-compatible, there are going to be issues. -- Chris H. | Re: Gateway M285-G That is up to each manufacturer and how they handle their product line. Might give the support line a call and ask them. I remember back when the Millennium Edition operating system came out, and Compaq waited about 10 months before offering an update on their laptop models to enable the buttons which controlled the sound volume. Unless people clamor for a solution from their manufacturer, they seem to assume no one needs it. -- Chris H.
