Journal Future

What is the future of the Journal application? Will it be enhanced windows
Windows 7? If not, is there an API for this? I would really like to add
the ability to add or remove several pages at once and the ability to drag
and drop multiple pages between journals.

Best Wishes,
Keith Nicholson

RE: Journal Future

Journal will be toast in 7 if it is not dramatically improved. The conversion
feature is not even attached to the 7 engine making conversion worse than
terrible.

On the W7 RC I am running, Journal is about the same. I guess they would
prefer you to go to (and pay for) OneNote if you want the functionality
you describe.

OneNote 2007 is quite good, although personally I don't get on well with
the tabbed notebook paradigm. It allows for multiple notebooks each
with multiple sections and multiple pages per section. You can easily
transfer pages between sections and notebooks, and it has a neat
feature that allows you to create pages when OneNote is not open and
sort out were you want them later. I now use that in place of journal.

As an aside, if you have the chance, download the Win7 RC and try it out
for free. It's worth it for the improved TIP.
