| Problems with cellular v710 Bluetooth Integration Hello.- I have a Toshiba Protege M200 with Windows XP TP SP2. On my Computer I have the Toshiba stack for windows for bluetooth support. When I Put to work the toshiba Bluetooth (using Bluetooth Manager) stack to discover my cellphone (Motorola v710) fine, but recognize it as a Motorola Modem (at this time this look supicious to me but its OK). Later I install a Motorola software Mobile PhoneTools, this software will help me to control the celullar phone full functionality (and no use it only as a modem). My problems begun when I select BlueTooth (With USB Cable works fine) as conection mode, the motorola Software didn't detect any Motorola USB Adapter (because I don't have such adapter) so offers me two options: 1) Install a new adpater (Install a Widcomm Software) 2) Use an installed Adapter. The first time I use the option 2, but the Motorola software never detect my cellphone the application always keeps in a Initializating status and nothing more happend. In other opportunities I install the Widcomm Adpater and select my cellphone model for conection, but the Widcomm software never detect my Bluetooth built-in Protege adapter, this happen using Toshiba or Microsoft stack for bluetooth (booth stacks detect my cellphone the first as modem, the second as a phone) or none stack at all. Have anyone an idea about what I'm doing wrong? this could not be so hard to do. Thanks Daniel |

| Re: Problems with cellular v710 Bluetooth Integration Hello.- Thanks Chris for your help. I resolve the problem, basically for a lucky shot, let me explain the process: Even when yesterday I did tests changing and swapping the Motorola and Toshiba Bluetooth stacks on their lasts versions (you can obtain both from the Toshiba web page) and didn't work, I decide to take your first advice a retry all again. As I wrote first that action didn't work, and leave the Bluetooth stuff for later. At this point I only have the usual thing: 1) A Motorola modem configured in the COM40 for Bluetooth connection. 2) No Interaction with the Motorola Mobile PhoneTools software. This afternoon I take back the problem, but when restart the Toshiba Bluetooth manager and scan the environment this detect the Motorola v710 as a cellular phone, I was surprised for this because this never happen before, so when I review all my Bluetooth connections I saw the Motorola modem connection still defined on the Bluetooth manager (I usually delete this definition because never works fine). So when I start the Motorola Mobile PhoneTools software this detect the cellular phone (now with a connection in the COM41). At this time I have two connection for the same device: 1) A Motorola Modem on COM40 2) A Motorola Phone on COM41 I repeat the whole process and always first detect the cellular as a Modem on COM40 and nothing work. Later in a second scan detect the cellular phone on COM41 and all works fine, I'm not sure why this happen, is very complicated, but works. At this time I only have a little new problem: The Motorola software classifies my cell phone as a GPS one but in fact is a CDMA, at least I can synchronize contacts and agenda. I will be working on this issue. Anyway Chris, Thanks for your time and advice.
