ME and XP Home on two drives

I am currerently running ME on drive C, CD on D, CD on E. I do not want to
do anything to Drive C, but would like to install XP Home on an additional
internal drive. I have already bought the full version of XP Home and a
Maxtor 80gig internal drive. I was told at the store this is an easy thing to
do...but I thought it to be wise and talk to the experts first.(I am only a
JackLeg).
Please keep it simple for my simple mind..

ThanX

Re: ME and XP Home on two drives

Well, Slacky, you've posted to an incorrect newsgroup since we support
Tablet PCs here, but I would suggest you visit the forums at
http://forum.aumha.org/ and ask your questions there. Such an installation,
since you're attempting to add Windows XP after the Millennium operating
system, can be tricky - though it should work.

One of the criteria when adding a second operating system is to have the
older operating system NOT be the primary boot system. Since you're totally
changing your configuration by adding another hard drive, I would get
step-by-step information from the folks over at Aumha.

Re: ME and XP Home on two drives

Hope everything works out okay for you. A lot depends on the type of drive,
getting the settings correct and everything connected properly. 8-)
