| Disk Space Used for Tablet OS My boss wants to buy a tablet PC but is concerned about how much disk space he should get. Can you tell me how much space is used by the operating system for the tablet PC? Thanks for all your help. |

| Re: Disk Space Used for Tablet OS Only a little more than the standard Windows XP Pro installation, Ellie. He shouldn't worry about disk space, because most Tablet PCs come with a minimum of 20 GB hard drives, and the general trend lately has been 40- or 60-GB drives, minimum. -- Chris H. So slightly more than a nortmal Windows XP Professional installation. Anything over 10GB would be enough for less intensive use (it would leave 6+GB with normal MS apps installed), I would suggest 40GB or more. -- <- Shenan -> -- The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. | Re: Disk Space Used for Tablet OS Unless he or she is a very light user (never installs additional software, never stores music or video) I would highly recommend that you get 60MB, at a minimum. I suspect that you want this thing to stay relevant for three to five years at a minimum and windoze is famous for preferring an underutilized HD. More space is your friend and the incremental price difference is nominal, especially if it's a business deduction.
