Windows Movie Maker on Tablet PC freezes

I have an Averatec Tablet PC that is running Windows XP Tablet PC edition.
Athalon 2200 proc, 512 2700 Ram, 32 Mb video.

I am trying to capture video from a Sony MiniDV camera using an adaptec
firewire card. The card and camera work on several different standard laptops
but on multiiple Averatec tablets it freezes when running Windows Movie
Maker to capture the video. I have also tried a couple other applications to
capture the video.

The video workd on pass though in both SP2 and pre-SP2.

Any suggestions? Or does WMM just not work on tablets?

Yes, it works on Tablet PCs. You may want to check http://www.averatec.com
for new drivers for your machine. Have you updated to Windows XP SP2 and
the Tablet PC Edition 2005?
