| XP Professional on tablet PC I've got a secondhand tabletPC Acer c100 without HDD, I got the hdd nad now i'd like to install XP. Can I install normal XP Professional on it... will the pen function? (at least as a cursor?) Thanks |

No. You need all the driver/pen/ink extensions in the Tablet PC edition for the extra hardware to work. |

| Re: XP Professional on tablet PC There are two places where the specific Windows XP Pro and Tablet PC Edition are available: (1) with an OEM Tablet PC and (2) via a subscription to MSDN for development purposes only. You cannot just "add" portions to make the Tablet PC function properly. If you didn't get the appropriate OEM CD with the Tablet, I would suggest you contact whoever it was you obtained the Tablet from for the full properties. -- Chris H. Might have to pay a nominal fee but that's probably the only way you'll be able to get everything up and running without a MSDN subscription.
