Re: Compaq TC1000 expansion memory

How much memory do you have on the system right now, Brian? If you only
have 256 MB, you will see a good improvement going to at least 512, and max
it out at 768 in the one open slot (adding 512). I'd take a look at
www.crucial.com to find the exact memory module match.

The type, I'm not sure of (I have a Motion M1400), though that information
should be readily available from HP/Compaq and most third party memory sales
outlets. Doing so WILL improve your performance.

Yes, that too. I mentioned Crucial because they've been very good on
matching up RAM modules properly. Kingston does the same thing.

Re: Compaq TC1000 expansion memory

Good luck with it, Brian. Adding a memory module is fairly easy. If you
don't know how, take a look at the OEM web site. Usually, they have
information exactly how to do the upgrade. If you bump up to 768 MB, you'll
definitely notice a difference. 8-)

Re: Compaq TC1000 expansion memory

http://www.4allmemory.com is a good site as well. This is the ONLY site
where I could find memory for my desktop. The right RDRAM is hard to find I
guess cause I looked and looked. Hope this helps.

memory module causes windows to hang

So what about this.... my memory expansion module works fine.... in the tc1000's BIOS, though windows just completekly breaks up. In starting, it tells me there's a missing DLL and it cannot run. Exit Windows.... The memory module is an IBM pc133 non-parity, so it should be ok, it's tested too, so no hardware problems.
Any ideas ANYONE?
