On the old tablet os I used to be able to pop up the
input panel by opening tabtip.exe. tabtip.exe is still
there but nothing happens when you click it. What exe do
I have to run to open the input panel?

I assume you're running the newer version of the tablet bits that came with
XP SP2?

Do you still have the little keyboard button on the quicklaunch?

The shake gesture should still also bring it up, as will bringing the pen tip
close to the screen where the cursor is when you've got the cursor in a text
entry area of most programs.

Of course, how you bring it up will depend on what you need to do and the
program you're running and your preferences.
