Glad to hear about the release. But I'm worried about the speech recognition
engines. Will they be released in a separate package? The older version of
the Recognizer Pack contains the speech recognition engines but it cannot be
installed with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 (SP2).

I see that US English is one of the choices. Is this for people with other
language versions or does this add something for those already using US
English?

Hello Mickey,

the US recognizer is already included in all international versions of the
Tablet PC. We have added the US recognizer, because the 2005 Recognizer Pack
can also be installed on non-Tablet PCs for development and testing
purposes.

Microsoft has certainly done the research on languages, Daniel, but I
haven't heard a word about Russian. Since it takes years to develop an
individual language, they may be working on it now, but I don't know. I
would suggest, though, that you submit the request via the Product Feedback
page at Microsoft, so the Tablet Team will have the direct input:
