What is the best Tablet PC for Students

I am a college student and am interested in purchasing a convertable tablet
pc and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about what to buy. I
would primarily be using it to access the interent wirelessly and use OneNote
to take note in class. Size is also a factor, i would like it to be lite and
thin.
The two I am looking at are the Acer C110 and the Fujitsu Lifebook T3000.
Would you suggest either of these and if so what configuration??

Thanks so much for the help...this is a big investment for me!

Re: What is the best Tablet PC for Students

A Tablet PC is a matter of your own preferences, and since it is a large
investment you need to weigh your needs along with what's in your wallet.
You might want to look at the comparison charts on Tablet PC MVP Terri
Stratton's web site: http://thetabletpc.net for full information on each
and every Tablet available.

One of the things I would look at if you're going to be connecting
wirelessly for class work is that both models do 802.11b (Acer does 802.11a)
so you're on the slow/not widely used end of wireless. I'd check to see if
they're got an 802.11b/g option available.

Another item, since both models start at 256 MB RAM, is to look into going
to at least 512. After-purchase memory from places like Crucial are less
expensive than direct from the manufacturer, but you could order with a 512
module so you could jump (with another 512) to a gig of RAM at less expense
later.
