| Re: Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? Hmmmm... I can see the look on my clients' faces as I pull a roll out of the brief case and set it on the conference room table. I expect they will have decided by then that it's going to be a rough audit. ;) -- howard "Mike Williams [MVP]" <mikew@Nospam.mvps.org> wrote in message news:41574F89.1090800@Nospam.mvps.org... > Howard Cross wrote: >> Hi Mike, I'm not sure about which product you're referring to but I found >> following FAQ at the Cottonelle site. | Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? I posted the original question. Motion Computing does not have an upgrade option for those that are stuck with the pre-view-anywhere M1400s. I looked around and found a website that sells anti-glare screen protector for all kinds of tablets, PDAs etc. I bought one for my M1400. Don't know how good it is, but atleast there is hope for the glare-blind. The site is: http://strongengineering.com/ I will post my feedback on how well it worked. Thanks for everyone that tried to help. Suvro Ghosh. |

| Re: Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? The screen protectors from Strong Engineering work fairly well for anti-glare. You may have to spend some time getting used to the difference in the feel of the pen on the protector rather than the screen. I'm sorry if my comment about the View Anywhere screen wasn't clear. It's not available as an upgrade. I was referring to the possibility of using the View Anywhere option if you needed to order additional Tablet PCs. I hope the screen protector does what you want. -- Terri Stratton Editor / Owner http://thetabletpc.net http://themediacenterpc.net Microsoft Windows MVP / Tablet PC <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3c2201c4a64d$4ba4f150$a501280a@phx.gbl... >I posted the original question. > > Motion Computing does not have an upgrade option for > those that are stuck with the pre-view-anywhere M1400s. > > I looked around and found a website that sells anti-glare > screen protector for all kinds of tablets, PDAs etc. I > bought one for my M1400. | Re: Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? The View Anywhere from Motion Computing, is an "Option" when ordering. Perhaps their web site could be a bit more clear that when ordering the M1400 the customer needs to specify the option. -- Chris H. | Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? There is yet another website selling an anti-glare product for M1400 (pricier though): http://www.pocketpctechs.com/ |

| Re: Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? My wife picked up a package of the same cloths Motion sends with their computers at Bed Bath and Beyond. I think it was less than ten dollars for 3 of them. They work just fine for me. I use the View Anywhere screen. | Re: Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? The screen protectors from Strong Engineering are only good for surface protection, DOES NOT have any anti- reflective property, has some anti-glare which is not sufficient. My quest still goes on. Anyone who has prior "View-Anywhere" experience with a motion tablet, used in a well lit (overhead lights) would probably be able to see my predicament, and since Motion offers no upgrade path to a "View-Anywhere" from a non- "View-Anywhere", I feel stuck. If you are at home on the couch, or where you have control over the overhead lights, this is not a problem at all, and I guess most people have that scenario. | Re: Anti-glare for Motion Computing M1400? There's no question that the View Anywhere screen is much better for bright lights or sunlight, however, as you've found, there is no upgrade path from the non-View Anywhere screen. I have an M1400 with the View Anywhere and it's absolutely great! The difference between it an my M1300 without View Anywhere is amazing. I couldn't use the M1300 at all outside, even in fairly good shade, but the View Anywhere works great, even in bright sunlight when I use it on our boat. -- Terri Stratton Editor / Owner http://thetabletpc.net http://themediacenterpc.net Microsoft Windows MVP / Tablet PC <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2ce201c4ab21$25091840$a501280a@phx.gbl... > The screen protectors from Strong Engineering are only > good for surface protection, DOES NOT have any anti- > reflective property, has some anti-glare which is not > sufficient.
