What happened if install Chinese Office into English XP tablet?

Dear friends.......please let me know the following answers:-

1.If I buy a tablet PC with Window XP tablet(English version), Can I
switch to Chinese version by simply download "Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
2005 MUI Pack"?

2.If yes, can I use the chinese handwriting function by downloading the
"Microsoft Office XP Pack for Tablet PC (Tablet Pack)" only?

3.If not, how can I get a Window XP tablet (Chinese version)?

4.If not, if there any problem to install MS office (Chinese version) in
Office XP tablet (English version)?

5.In general, how can I change a Window XP tablet(English version) into
Chinese operation environment, including hand writing function?

Please provide some information. Thank a lot!!!!!!!!!

Re: What happened if install Chinese Office into English XP tablet?

Keith, before installing Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 MUI Pack, you
must first have the English version of Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005
(your intent) and also install Windows XP MUI Pack. At present, the MUI
Pack for Tablet PC Edition 2005 does not furnish the full Recognizer Pack,
but will allow you to at least write in Chinese.

You will probably obtain valuable information from this Guide:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/t...prodguide.mspx
Remember, though, the information is pre-SP2 and the Tablet PC Edition 2005,
but it will give you the basics. Not all the necessary parts have been
released for the new 2005 edition yet, and Microsoft has not announced when
they will become available.

Contact a Tablet manufacturer.

There shouldn't be any problems, but you will have to enable East Asian
language support in Control Panel.

Windows XP has full international "support" (meaning programs will run)
regardless of the language of the user interface. Changing the language of
the UI requires a MUI pack. Adding distinct language support for non-default
handwriting languages requires a recognizer pack.
