| Pen tip not lining up with cursor I own a Fujitsu st5020D with WindowsXP Tablet. I really, relaly love it but the past month I've been having a horrible problem. The pen tip is not lining up with the cursor - in essence making it close to unusable. The more I move the pen towards the top of the screen the worse the distance gets. I'm thinking its a windows problem becuase in the boot step and the bios the pen works perfectly. I've reinstalled the OS from the recovery disk and tried to remove the drivers and reinstall. So I'm fresh out of ideas. Does anyone have any thoughts? I'd like for this to live one more year! -- Andy |

IIRC, the calibration tool should be under control panel. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ |

| Re: Pen tip not lining up with cursor Thanks Steve - No such luck. When I attempt to calibrate the pen still doesn't actually "point" to the right place. So won't actually like up to calibrate. To me that almost looks like a hardware issue - but in the boot and system menu the pen works fine. So thanks for following up though! Oh well. Maybe a new pen? -- Andy "Steve Jain [MVP]" wrote: > On Tue, 3 Mar 2009 08:22:08 -0800, ab5000 > <ab5000@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > >I own a Fujitsu st5020D with WindowsXP Tablet. Maybe a new pen? Probably not the pen, those are usually passive. Most likely, and unfortunately, the digitizer is the problem. You should contact the company for hardware support on this. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ |

| Re: Pen tip not lining up with cursor Have you tried replacing the tip. you should have received extra tips with your PC. Take you PC in to a store and see if another pen works. Does anyone have any thoughts? I'd like for > this to live one more year! > My Gateway C-142XL tablet has pen alignment problems whenever I reduce the screen resolution below it's maximum of 1280X768. If I need the pen, I gotta squint to see the screen. |
