| Re: Onscreen Keyboard - SP2 Felix, with XP SP2, you've now also received the Tablet PC Edition 2005, which is much improved over the old version. Better recognition, there's a floating TIP Access icon when you have the Tablet Input Panel in Undock mode, and there are additional features available within the TIP Options. Take a look at my web site tutorials for further information. -- Chris H. | Re: Onscreen Keyboard - SP2 Hi Thomas, Thanks for replying (and the others too). The old style gave a better appearance, 3d type effect, and the key size was better for quick onscreen tapping/typing. The new one has a smaller presentation and the dark effect makes quick typing awkward. Even changing the key colour to the original light effect would be an improvement! | Re: Onscreen Keyboard - SP2 Felix, if you want to change the Tablet Input Panel keyboard appearance to resemble the original, you can right-click your desktop, select Properties and then go to the Appearance tab. In the Windows and buttons: drop-down menu, select Windows Classic style. This will give you the old black-on-white keyboard appearance. You can also adjust the keyboard colors if you wish to continue using the Windows XP style by simply changing the Color scheme on the same tab. -- Chris H. | Re: Onscreen Keyboard - SP2 Hi Chris, Tried that and yes the format changes but the keyboard is still the flat style presented with SP2, not the smart (my opinion) 3d style that was used before. Spose as a lot of things it has been changed and whether you liked the original or not this is what you have now..... | Re: Onscreen Keyboard - SP2 That would be correct, Felix. Certain things did change, but I believe overall the TIP is improved - especially the recognition. -- Chris H.
