| Talk me out of buying a Motion LE 1600 Hello all: I plan to buy my first Tablet PC next month, a used LE 1600 slate. I intend to use it as a bigger Pocket PC (writing notes, reading/ listening during my commute, Internet access at the coffee shop). I'll buy the keyboard/stand later. Anyone have anything they want to warn me about? Thanks! |

| Re: Talk me out of buying a Motion LE 1600 assume you are going this route on a cost basis, and, not knowing that, it's hard to give an informed response... ....that said, some things to consider in addition to general condition issues; are os restore cd's available? if not, and if they are not available from motion, you may be stuck with a brick if you need to reload the os screen condition pens included? (how many) buttons all functional as far at the "keyboard/stand" any usb keyboard should work plus, if it does not have bluetooth built in, you can add a bluetooth dongle and use bluetooth kb/mice Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

| Re: Talk me out of buying a Motion LE 1600 One issue with used computers is that it can get difficult to get new batteries. Since battery life diminishes with time this can be a problem. A Motion LS800 would have been perfect for your needs, but that too is old, and it has limited RAM so it is slow. It is too bad Motion never did a successor to the LS800 - that would be the sweet spot for many people.
