| FloatingTIP failure Running Tablet PC edition 2005, Version 2002, SP3. Outlook 2003 (SP3) shows floatting TIP in main edit Window but not elsewhere. Excel 2003 (SP3) now doesn't bring up the FTIP anywhere and IE7 has also 'lost' the FTIP capability that was there as have most other programs that used to work. Word 2003 (SP3) brings up FTIP in ALL fields, Windows Journal (5.1 SP3) brings it up for Text input. The only software changes made in the last month since this problem arose have been Microsoft updates. How is the FTIP controlled - are there Registry settings (I haven't found any obvious ones) or service programs that control it - and if so why is Word working prefectly normally when most other programs seem to have lost it? |

| Re: FloatingTIP failure >> How is the FTIP controlled << assumed you have checked the tip settings (tap the gear) and confirmed that they are set as desired. My prime suspect would the windows updates, but, have nothing other than suspicions. Beverly Howard |
