| Something has changed on my Tablet. Lately when I am writing on my "writing pad." Like right now -my handwriting has started looking like calligraphy. going from thin lines to thick lines. The recognition is still great - but I am concerned that Something might be wrong with the tablet Screen digitizer.. Maybe I made a change that I am unaware of ?? -- ========== Writing, not typing, on my umpc.. Please forgive any wrytos! diane whatever |

| Re: Something has changed on my Tablet. You've got me... it all depends on your tablet. I know that it's something you can do in Microsoft OneNote... but beyond that, I have no idea. Maybe a search on your tablet's company website? C. | Re: Something has changed on my Tablet. Would help to know what software (all software?) this is happening with. Many programs have "pen tip" options which are shown as an angled line which leaves a different width line depending on the direction the line is dragged, so, would assume that this is a software setting rather than system setting. It's the handwriting recognition [on the writing pad] It looks like calligraphy as I am writing it but as it turns to text - there is nothing unusual. It is just sort of annoying and it has me concerned that there is something wrong with the screen. -- ========== Writing, not typing, on my umpc.. Please forgive any wrytos! diane whatever |

If you write with the "highlighter" tip, you get a very different output from the normal tip. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ |

I can't be Sure, but is it possible that when I added Ink Desktop it changed a driver? Whether or hot ink desktop is running I still get the calligraphy look on the Tablet PC writing panel. As I was saying before, the calligraphy doesn't change the type when I click "insert" it's just weird to look at on the panel / pad. -- ========== Writing, not typing, on my umpc..
