This may be covered here in another thread, if so,
sorry. I cannot get this sp for some reason. I use
office update website, it says I need the update, but
when it goes to install (already downloaded), it says to
insert office disk. OneNote came installed on my m-205
s810 from the factory. So how do I get this SP/update?
Especially if it is an update that is important, like
keeping out hackers type update.

I'm guessing that since it is asking for the cd, then I'm
stuck huh, I have to purchase it from MS or something
right?

Oh well, such is life :)

You may be able to find some help there. For my own experience. When I
installed SP1 on my Fujitsu, it also asked for my original media. It so
happened that I had purchased a copy of OneNote to have on my desktop pc. I
inserted the disk (which obviously has a different serial number) and it
worked fine. All this is to say; I'm not sure how useful the pre-loaded
copies of OneNote are. Good luck.

You should have a copy of the OneNote files on your computer. When asked
for the disk, you can use the Browse function and point it at the correct
folder. If you're not sure where it is, you can do a search for the file.
Make sure you have the option checked to show hidden files and folders.

:) Believe it or not, I tried this and it still didn't
work.

I had microsoft on the line and they couldn't really help
either. I tried reinstalling it from my recovery cd, and
it gave me a message something along the lines of the
system being corrupted. So .. :) sheesh I just did my
whole system again. I'm happy though, cause now
everything works alright. The original problem is gone
now as well.

Thanks for the advise Terri. Somehow my system got
corrupted and I ended up having to reinstall the whole
system. Corrupted system is what caused it. Everything
is fine now. thanks
