Screen Screwup

Was trying to clean up a friend's HP tablet (NVidia Graphics) yesterday
and did something that screwed the boot login screen...

Spepcifically, the bios onscreen keyboard now covers the login buttons
and password fields... and, as far as I can tell, there is no way to
"move" the screen out of the way.

Fortunately, it's possible to type the password in the blind and get it,
but, how do I correct what I did? (tinkered with the screen settings...
turned on larger fonts and increased the resolution.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Screen Screwup

Bev:

On my Fujitsu, it's possible to click and drag the menu bar
on the login dialog box to move it.

Can you do that such that the password field is visible?

Of course, you'll still need to fix the screen res, etc. after
you get in.

Maybe a System Restore would be best.

Re: Screen Screwup

Thanks for the response... the solution was to go back and reset the
screen and fonts to the defaults (800x600)

First, I was wrong... the buttons screen comes first, then the password
field screen where the entry field is covered by the keyboard.

In vista, there isn't a "box" for the password entry, so there's nothing
to grab onto.

Thanks,
