| Journal Note Writer Default Folder How can someone change the Default Folder in Windows Journal Note Writer or Windows Journal Viewer. I'm trying to set the default folder so I don't have to browse each time looking for my folder. [When I Save or Open a file] If you have Windows Journal Note Writer (Virtual Printer) and you select the "Advanced" settings from "Control Panel / Journal Note Writer" you'll find a Default Folder field. |

| Re: Journal Note Writer Default Folder The default folder is C:\Documents and Settings\(UserName)\My Documents\My Notes. In Windows Journal, if you use File/Recently Used Notes/More Notes... the program will open a pane under your toolbar revealing all your notes. -- Chris H. | Re: Journal Note Writer Default Folder You can change this by editing your registry, but it will also affect the default save location for all new journal notes that are created. *Note* If you don't feel comfortable editing your registry, I don't suggest that you try this. The registry key the default save location is stored in is located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Journal. And the key is called "MyNotes". The default value is "My Notes", but you can fill that with whatever you like. For something inside the My Documents folder you can just say (for example) "My Music". For something outside of that location, you need to specify the full path "C:\wherever". Hope this helps!
