Laptop is possessed

My laptop has been turning itself off all by itself. It was suggested that I
buy a new power cord, which I have done, but this hasn't solve the problem.
There is no 'lightning bolt' in the front, (that indicates power) and the
'circle' that is next to the 'lightning bolt' keeps blinking off and on. My
battery is 100% strong.

Any thoughts/advice would be 'greatly' appreciated.

Thanks.

As you don't say which model from which manufacturer, only a shot in the
fog :-( :-(
You might try a BIOS- reset.

Does the laptop indeed turn itself off? Perhaps it just goes to sleep after
a certain time of not being used? You may want to check Power Options in the
Windows Control Panel, or ask someone to check it for you.

You may ask in the HP forum to meet the peers who know your machine:
"notebook PCs - pavilions, presario"
http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/...categoryId=411

Rainald
P.S. Is this a normal *laptop* or a TabletPC??
I don't know TabletPCs in the Presario product line.
