Is the XP SP2 also for tablets?

Hi there,

on the downloadpage for XP SP2 I read:

-----------
System Requirements:

Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP, Windows XP Home Edition ,
Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional Edition
----------

I can see no XP Tablet PC Edition!
So what?

regards
namtscho

They probably left it out, but it doesn't matter, you will get the Tablet PC
Edition 2005 bits when you update to SP2 on a Tablet PC.

Re: Is the XP SP2 also for tablets?

Thanks for pointing it out. I've made a request to have the page updated to
include Windows XP Tablet PC Edition as well.

Thanks!

Re: Is the XP SP2 also for tablets?

Yes, it is. I noticed the omission yesterday and sent it to Microsoft.
It's being taken care of.

Re: Is the XP SP2 also for tablets?

YES, actually it's much more for Tablets. The SP2 XP overall fixes and
enhancements do apply to a Tablet. as well as all other XP PCs. In addition
SP2 contains a major set of fixes and enhancements specific only to the
Tablet.
