If I install SP2 for my Windows XP Tablet PC 2004 - will that automatically
become Tablet PC 2005? Is SP2 just the key to become version 2005?

SP2 includes enhancements for the Tablet PC. The name was changed from 2004
to 2005 midway through the SP2 beta. Therefore there never was a "Tablet PC
2004" edition officially released.

With that said, in short, SP2 contains all of the updates you need for XP
Home, Pro, Media Center, and yes, Tablet.
