problems about installing an OS

dear sir/madam,
I am currently using back my very old notebook named Fujitsu Lifebook
B142... with celeron 300mhz, 96 mb ram and ... 40 gb harddisk
unluckily i don' have any cd-rom...floopy disk...what ever...and the boot
devices it allow is only floopy disk and harddrive...i formatted both
partition on that harddrive and installed DOS 7.10 on it..
i want to know if there is any method for me to install an OS ...
actually i tried to install ME but after 97% of scanning ...it told me
''' Invaild DMIP when returning 39xx:xxxx''' and when i tried to install
98...it told me that i need to have at least 16mb ram...but when i start the
computer it shows 96mb and in bios 96mb too...when i tried to put I386 of xp
in it and run winnt.exe...after copying files....restart...it just stay at a
black screen with a '''_''' on the top left hand corner....could any one
....just please help me with this one...please !!!

I'm afraid you've posted in a newsgroup that is focused on Windows Tablet PC
Edition and the Tablet features in Windows Vista. It's not a hardware or OS
install forum, and that old lifebook is not a Tablet PC, though it might be
a tablet shaped PC.
