Gateway M275-Big Problems...Need Help

Hello All,

I have a 2 huge problems. First of all, my tablet has a quick button which allows me to switch from landscape mode to portrait mode and back, but whenever I try to switch orientations, i get the error message..."The setting you requested cannot be supported. Open Display in Control Panel, adjust the settings, and then try to change orientation again." And when it doesnt say that, it tells me to contact the manufacturer. Open contacting Gateway they said I should return it, and let them work on it. But I just got the computer and I'm trying to avoid returning it. Does anybody know what settings need to be changed?

And my second problem is that often times when I am restarting or shutting down my computer, it takes an extremely long time or it doesnt shut down and I have to manually press the button, is there a way to correct this?

I thank anyone who answers this for me in advance. THANK YOU!!

I had the rotation problem with my M275 also. I reloaded the driver for the display and it went away. I wound up afterwards with the login keyboard not going away, and eventually just reloaded Windows from the restore disk and things have worked fine since. (Reloading windows is a LONG process. It said 51 minutes in one of the initial screens that came up, but it was much longer than that. I wene to bed and it was finished in the morning.)
