| Digitizer Driver Corrupt HP 6710p Hi, I have a HP 2710p Convertible tablet PC. We have a Windows XP SP2 Ghost image which I have added the digitizer driver, CAB files etc and the cmdlines.txt syocmgr line + tablet PC edition VLK key All seems to build OK and is reported as Tablet PC 2005. However the driver for the Digitizer refuses to load and device manager reports Code 39 driver corrupt. I have tried different Wacom drivers from their site, as well as copying the i386 from the Tablet PC edition restore DVD after another reimage. However If I use the OS DVD the tablet PC came with the driver installs and the digitizer works as expected. However I need to use ourimage to aviod having to reinstall and configure loads of applications! Thanks Scott |

| Re: Digitizer Driver Corrupt HP 6710p Scott -- You're liketly to get a better answer over on one of the newsgroups dealing with deployment. I suspect folks here aren't up on ghosted deployments. But I can see one thing seriously wrong with what you're trying to do. XP is NOT the same as Tablet PC Edition. And the differences are not just the digitizer driver. I suggest that what you really need to do is create a proper Tablet PC image building from a Tablet PC Edition install and adding your applications. I know it's a pain, but I honestly don't think you can get to where you need to be approaching it this way. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "Scott Chamings" <scottchamings******.com> wrote in message news:c92bb7fe-01f9-4bd8-a973-889608b85558@e53g2000hsa.googlegroups.com... > Hi, > > I have a HP 2710p Convertible tablet PC. > > We have a Windows XP SP2 Ghost image which I have added the digitizer > driver, CAB files etc and the cmdlines.txt syocmgr line + tablet PC > edition VLK key > > All seems to build OK and is reported as Tablet PC 2005. | Re: Digitizer Driver Corrupt HP 6710p Scott, are you aware of the single image deployment to create a single image for XP Pro and Tablet PC Edition? Check this site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...chNet.10).aspx It has sections on product keys, adding drivers and deployment methods (though some of them do not apply to images with integrated XP SP3, some pdated info on SP3 here: http://blogs.technet.com/deploymentg...n/default.aspx Greetings Stefen "Charlie Russel - MVP" <charlie@mvKILLALLSPAMMERSps.org> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:D6E754C1-875F-4B33-AFA0-F3D70AAFA259@microsoft.com... > Scott -- > You're liketly to get a better answer over on one of the newsgroups > dealing with deployment.
