| Windows Open As Narrow & Long... I have a Fujitsu TabletPC running a current version of Windows XP for Tablet. I have not installed SP2 Beta. While I was still learning to use the stylus, I would periodically inadvertently charge settings, but I could normally restore them, sometimes by trial and error. Somewhere along the line, in portrait mode, I managed to reduce the width of new windows to about an inch wide. I can always tap the "full window" button on the title bar, but I can't seem to get the window to pop up (initially) with a reasonable width. Can someone tell me how to correct this setting? Thanks in advance. |

| Re: Windows Open As Narrow & Long... Hi, Steve, Move your cursor to a corner of the window. It should change to a double arrow. Left click and drag until the window is the size you want. Then click the red X in the top right of the window to close it. When you reopen another window in that program, it should open in that size. -- Terri Stratton Microsoft Windows MVP / Tablet PC http://thetabletpc.net Expert Zone - http://microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/default.asp "Steve S" <Steve S@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6C8BA1C8-7329-4FD3-852C-BB39B78EC0B7@microsoft.com... >I have a Fujitsu TabletPC running a current version of Windows XP for >Tablet. That's supposed to set in memory that size as the default open if it doesn't take it just by closing it as Terri suggested. However, the control + close to save the window size doesn't always work - one of the fun little inconsistencies of Windows. :D John |

But thanks for the suggestion... |

Grant, thanks for asking this question; it caused me to think a minute and then do some investigating. It turned out that this was NOT a Windows problem. I use my browser a lot, and it was an AOL problem! Once I figured that out, I was able to find an AOL properties box that controlled new windows. Problem solved! Thanks to all for your help! |
