| Using ink and drawing area in Word Brand new owner of an M200 here. Seriously, there's no better usage of ink in Word than using comment boxes and that drawing area? I can't believe that there is not something else out there with more capability than that! I'm really hoping that you experts know about something I haven't found yet; this is just so time-consuming for what I want to do. While I'm at it, is there a way to set up the drawing area to be a set size every time and floatable it is inserted? Their standard size is WAY too big for me, and I can't find an option for this. Any help is greatly appreciated because so far I'm disappointed in the functionality. I was really pretty sure that I was not asking for the world here. =( Thank you! |

| Re: Using ink and drawing area in Word Which version of Word are you using? Word 2003 has Ink natively, while the XP or 2002 version needs the Office XP Pack for Tablet PC: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Also (in Word 2003) make sure you've gone into View/Toolbars to launch the Ink Drawing and Writing Toolbar. -- Chris H. | Re: Using ink and drawing area in Word The ink writing drawing area is a mixed blessing for sure. The ink annotations are great though. | Re: Using ink and drawing area in Word Figures - I have 2002 with XP, of course, and I did download the Pack (that's how I had tested the drawing area and the comments). I do like the comments, but they're just not enough for what I need to do. I've figured out a way to make things work by copying everything into OneNote, but it adds a lot of steps (there's that time-consuming thing again...). Are the ink capabilities in Word 2003 any different than the ones in the others? I really want the functionality of just writing wherever I want to like I get in OneNote but with the other features of Word to manipulate the rest of the document. I suppose I've lost my mind? Thanks for the help! "Chris H." wrote: > Which version of Word are you using? | Re: Using ink and drawing area in Word Mind? What mind? 8-) Inking is improved in Office 2003, but not the same as OneNote or Windows Journal, yet. Have you tried Journal? It was written strictly for Tablet PCs. Also, on the subject of OneNote, the SP1 build currently available for download is very, very much improved. You may wish to download it: http://www.microsoft.com/office/onen...1/default.mspx -- Chris H.
